Monday 25th May's question of the week was an algebra (solving equations with unknowns on both sides) question. These come up most often when you start secondary school and appear in Key Stage 3 tests and GCSE exams:
Solve to find the value of x:
3x – 8 = x + 10
Monday 18th May's question was an eleven plus style question, looking at nets of cubes:
A cube has a different symbol on each face.
The face with a heart is exactly opposite the face with a circle.
Circle the diagram which cannot be a net of this cube.

Topic: Nets of Cubes
Answer: The 4th cube is incorrect because the bottom of the heart face will be touching the circle face.
